These minerals can help protect you from manmade illnesses and radiation poisoning. This may be a survival staple you have overlooked, be assured the bad guys haven’t.
Genesis Chapter 1
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
I believe this means all creatures before the flood were herbivores and lived only on the lush vegetation from God’s garden. If you believe in the creation story reveled in Genesis you’ll understand everything on the land was destroyed in the flood in a short period of time. The flood buried massive amounts of plants that fed the beasts and men. The flood deposited vegetation turned into humate. Humate contains the essence of the herbs than satisfied Adam and his offspring’s as well as the beast, which now consume meat.
Soil is our primary source of trace minerals. When the soil is depleted in humates, plant life cannot readily absorb inorganic trace minerals. Humates are the organic substrates that allow plant life to absorb critical trace minerals and other nutrients. Likewise, humans and other living creatures need the soil to be rich in humates in order to survive and remain healthy. These Humates are the minerals taken up by pre-flood plants.

Humate flood deposits are found throughout the world and can provide people with all of the 90 trace minerals and micronutrients needed to fight illnesses and maintain health as well as replenish soils to grow nutritious crops. There are a number of companies that are selling minerals derived from humate deposits. The “DEAD DOCTORS DON’T LIE” books and tapes series by Dr Joel Wallach summarizes many of the benefits of using these minerals.

• There are at least 5 groups of people in the world whose average life span exceeds 100 years.
• Many major diseases have been eliminated in the livestock industry years ago by simple inexpensive nutritional supplementation.
• According to U.S. Senate Document #264, our farmlands have been depleted of essential minerals. This document dates back to 1936.
• There is no such thing as "Eating Right". If the minerals aren't in the soil where the food is grown, they are not in our foods.
• Our bodies need no less than 90 essential nutrients, and there are as many as 10 deficiency diseases that can result for each nutrient that is missing for any length of time. This is a total of up to 900 diseases that can be prevented with proper nutrition.

Dr Wallach’s company, Youngevity produces hundreds of products, many rely on Humates as a main source of these minerals essential to human and animal health. There are a number of sources of humate products, packaged by a number of companies mined from a number of deposits. Mines are located in Utah, California, New Mexico, Colorado and Texas to name a few sites with known deposits producing humates for various uses.

Some of the products are simple compost teas that allow rapid assimilation of these micronutrients. These minerals were taken up by pre-flood plants are ionic in nature and are a powerful super-food.

Stockpile Cheap Essential Survival Minerals for Radiation Poisoning and Health

Unearthing the answers to Fukushima radiation poisoning; solutions are buried in 2 different types of mineral deposits. I am convinced “Ancient Humate “and “Zeolite” are God’s one two punch for reducing the toxic effects of man made radiation from energy production and acts of war.
Radiation kills by replacing minerals in your body with reactive elements. All of these radio nuclei interchange with minerals essential to life that poison from within your body. Humates are ancient deposits of plants from an earlier time. These plants are rich in all of the minerals needed to sustain health in a micronized and ionic form. This is important. Your body can readily digest and assimilate the micronutrients and replace radioactive elements. This also adds protection from newly ingested radiation. Humic-based minerals are the basis for the “Dead Doctors Don’t Lie” tapes. Radiation is just one reason for consuming humates.
Natural zeolites on the other hand are a subtractor- volcanic in nature. Zeolites are crystallized alumina silicates that contain millions of tiny ionic (negatively charges) tunnels that attract and trap positively charges molecules and hold them internally in the mineral matrix. Your body doesn’t digest zeolite the way it digest humate. Zeolite simply attracts the garbage, picks it up, traps it and is carried out of your body via waste processes.
A quick search of “humates and zeolites” will yield you a great deal of information and sources for potential health products. Please keep in mind; both of these natural mineral products have been used with incredible health benefits on animals for years as important feed additives. Zeolites and humates have numerous additional uses other than as a human dietary supplement. There are no FDA approved zeolites or humates for use in humans. There a number of products that sell this “supposed” fact; many of them do cite human studies and testimonials and are labeled for human consumption. Other suppliers shun the wrath of the FDA and product liability insurance and refuse to sell for human consumption even they may be identical.
Guess which products cost more?
Right now my wife (she’s getting over breast cancer treatment) and I are using zeolite I buy from the feed store and bake out in the oven for an hour at 350 degrees. It cost about $10 for a 40-pound bag. We take ½ a teaspoon in 3 ounces of water once a day. A bag will last years for this use. Its sold under the name Sweet PDZ.
We are using 1 ounce of Humic Minerals (Humate Tea) from the local health food store. It retails $32 for 32 ounces. I will be ordering a ton of dry humate from a mine in west Texas that will make thousands of gallons and cost $300. What’s left over goes in the garden to remineralize the soil. To brew the tea I take a cup of dry humate product to a gallon of filtered water. Then I will use an aquarium pump and aerator ($10) to brew it with the bubbler for 24 hours. Then I will filter it and refrigerate it.
If you are on a tight survival budget a few bags of zeolite and a few bags of ancient humate might a lifesaver and budget saver too. Please research it yourself. I’m not a doctor and did not stay at Holiday Express last night.

Case History: BURNED POPCORN IN A MICROWAVE

By: Joy Senn and Debbie Huffmaster Location: Houston, Texas, U.S.A. Date: January 12,14, 1991

The front office coffee room at NonScents' home office in Houston, Texas often gets quite a bit of use, and sometimes mild abuse during the day from various types of cooking activity. On two separate and closely spaced occasions popcorn that was being cooked in the microwave oven caused a big stink in this appliance, room and surrounding area, which required the use of NonScents to deodorize the problem.

The first occasion involved Joy Senn, NonScents' Desktop Publisher, who was cooking some Lite Pop Microwave Popcorn in the microwave. Someone distracted her with a problem that they were involved with and she went out of the coffee room. The microwave was set for 4 minutes. When she returned to the coffee room the timer was off, and there was a very strong odor of burned popcorn coming from the microwave. Joy threw the burned popcorn out in the trash outside of the offices, and someone else put a 4 oz. bag of NonScents into the opened microwave to deodorize it. After about 1/2 hour the room and microwave were odor free.

Two days later Debbie Hnffmaster, NonScents' Shipping and Production Manager, was making some popcorn in the same microwave. She was using Orvill eRedenbacher's Gourmet Singles Microwave Popping Corn with butter. Debbie put the popcorn in the microwave and set the timer for 4 minutes according to the instructions. She was called to her of rice for a telephone call. Several minutes later, when she Wished the call she found people gasping for breath in the office hallway, and trying to find the culprit that had burned the popcorn, because the flames from this accident were very heavy. The popcorn bag was thrown in the trash outside of the building and two fresh caps (2 lb. bags) were brought into the coffee room. One cap was put into the open microwave and the other was just placed on a table in the room A 16 inch fan was brought into the room and placed in front of the microw ave and turned on a low setting. After about a half hour all the burned popcorn odors had been removed from the microwave oven, coffee room and hallway.

Case Histoy: FREEZER SPOILAGE ~ MOBILE HOME

By: Dave Feldmeyer Location: Houston, Texas, USA. Date: September, 1990

A Cajun couple lived in a 14'x 80' mobile home ~ Houston, Texas. They went on a trip for 3 weeks to visit some friends and relatives in Louisiana. Shortly after they left someone vandalized their home by turning off the main circuit breaker. They had a 20 cubic foot freezer with about 200 pounds of seafood, and a 20 cubic foot refrigerator which also contained a lot of food. Everything ~ these appliances thawed and drained onto a vinyl floor in or near the dining room which was lO'x 10' (100 sq. ft. area) with a small kitchen 6'x 4' (24 sq. ft. area) next to it. The weather during this lime was abnormally hot with temperatures in the 90° F range most of the time.

By the time this family returned to their home they had an incredible mess. The badly decomposed food was up to 1/2 inch thick in some places on the floor. Large quantities of flies and maggots were found throughout this area, and the stench was Difficult to describe, or even to imagine The mobile home was not fit to live in The walls in every room were covered with fly eggs. This couple began to clean up the mess as best they could. It seemed as though they had completely cleaned the entire mobile home a dozen times, but it still reeked from those foul odors.

Dave Feldmeyer does a lot of home restoration work and he was initially called in on the job to replace some insulation below the floor of the dining room kitchen area, and caulk the weather proofing seals. Dave had also just become a NonScents distributor. When he was informed about the details of this problem he told them that he thong t he could also remove the remaining odors in the mobile home. This family was eager for him to do anything that would deodorize their home.

Product application began by putting 2 caps (2 lb. bags) in the return air vent, and 4 of the 4 oz. bags in the supply air vents. The supply air vents were very small ~ this mobile home and a cap would not fit inside them. Four ounce bags were put in the supply air vents in the kitchen, dining room, and living room. One can of powder was put in some Tupperware, because it seemed to be sa turated with those odors. Some of the powder was also used in a bookcase, and in a small semi-closed-off area near the dining room. The couple's homeowners insurance covered the freezer and refrigerator so they were replaced.

After the product w as in place, the air conditioning sy stem was turned on, and the couple left for another 3-week-vacation trip. When they returned the entire mobile home was odor free.

Case History: PESIICIDES (METHYLBROMIDE) - TERlMITE INSECTICIDE)

By: Bob Zitnn Location: Hollywood, Florida, USA. Date: September 1989

Methlbromlde is a pesticide used to kill termites. If it is not used properly it can sometimes react with foam rubber to produce a very foul odor that is almost impossible to describe, but would be quite recognizable to a termite exterminator such as Bob Zitrin. It is pertinent to point out that foam rubber is commonly found in many parts of a normal house and would include such items as the floor m atting under carpets, in beds, chairs, couches, etc. Thus, if this pesticide should react with these materials the odors are very difficult to eliminate. Apparently this was the situation that occurred in a house of about 1,500 quare feet in Hollywood, Florida. The exterminating company that was responsible for this problem paid the expenses of the woma n who owned the house, to live in a motel for several days until the odors were removed.

It was at that time that this same exterminating company called Bob Zitrin to solve this odor problem. During the time that Bob was deodorizing this woman's house she went to visit her sister in another state. When she arrived at her sister's house it became apparent that all of her clothes reeked of this odor. It was necessary for them to wash her clothes four to five times before the odors were removed from them. It's a shame that she did not have any NonScents pow der for her laundrywhich would have probably removed the odors much easier.

The NonScents product was applied in the house in the following manner: 4 cans of powder were sprinkled on the rug, chairs, couch, etc. The house did not have central air conditioning, but had two window air conditioners. One cap (2 lb. bag) was put on the supply air vent on each air conditioner. The air conditioners were then left on to circulate air through the house for three days. After three days the odor was for all practical purposes gone. Bob did a follow up on this case shortly afterward and the woman was satisfied that the odor problem had been resolved. He left her two caps to pick up any lingering odors.

Case History: SMOKE DAMAGE IN NURSING HOME

Manny Fanugia Ipswich, Suffolk, England November 1989

A two story, 24 room nursing home in Ipswich, England had an electrical fire in one of its two kitchens, which completely gutted that room I hat was the only room that burned. The rest of the adjacent rooms apparently were spared from burning by a fire proof door. However, the smoke damage was very bad downstairs, and moderately bad on the second floor

Manny had read about this fire in the newspaper and went to the nursing home the next day with one of his downline distributors. They explained the product to the manager of the nursing home and he showed them through the building and what damage had been done. The manager was concerned that the carpet in the hallway that was about 20 feet and 10 feet and the carpeted stair case which was about 5 ft. wide would have to be taken out and replaced. The cost of the rug was estimated at approximately following manner. Two cans of powder were sprinkled on the carpet in the hallway and stairway. Six caps (2 lb. bags) were also put in this area as shown in Fig. 1 (these are indicated by ovals). No special type of air circulation was used. However, it is important to note that many of the older buildings in this country have much better air circulation than buildings in the United States. Furthermore, the front door was frequently opened and closed, and the general daily activity in this busy area produced a type of natural circulation throughout this are.

The management was told not to vacuum the powder oil the floor for at least 24 hours. The powder was laid down about 6 p.m. Friday and vacuumed up on Saturday. Manny visited the home on Monday afternoon. He was received by the wife of the nursing home owner with a big smile. The smoke odor was completely gone from the hallway. They had taken 4 of the 6 bags that were ~ the hallway and put them in the kitchen (indicated by x's in Pig. 1). Three of these caps were put in the immediate area where the i ire occurred ~ the kitchen The 4th cap w as put in the pantry room where food was stored. There is a draw fan that pulls air through that room and forces it outside. The cap was just laid on the freezer in that area. The odors were v cry strong in this storage room because the fan was drawing all the smoke odors from the entire kitchen. All the windows in the ldtchen were left open to help vent the smoke odors. Manny suggested that they hang the cap right in front of the draw fan so that it would work better. Two days later Manny returned to the nursing home and all of the smoke odors in the kitchen and storage room were gone. The n urs~ng home management asked him if he could help them with other odor problems in their building which included a room with an mcont~nent patient. Before he left he sold them another 10 cans of powder and 4 boxes of 4 oz. bags. She usually plays second base, short stop or pitcher. Her baseball league requires that her team play about one or two games a week. They also compete for positions in team standings and in special tournaments

In August they had a special mixed tournament in which each team was composed of 5 men and 5 women. This tournament started at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning and each team played at least 3 games during the day. On this day she played second base, and their team did quite well so they had to play a 4th game which lasted until about 5 p.m. This was more baseball than she would normally play in 2-3 weeks. Deborah did not have any particularly bad bruises or injuries, but around 9:0:0 p.m. that evening she began to feel her muscles stiffen and get quite sore. She decided to take a hot bath before going to bed that night and wondered if NonScents might help relieve her aching muscles. Therefore, she took about 3 tablespoons of Pro Powder and put it in the tub and just soaked in the hot water with NanScents for about 20 minutes. This therapy was soothing and did make her feel better before going to bed.

The next morning was a pleasant surprise because when she awoke she was not stiff or sore at all as she expected. Furthermore, her team played 3 more games of baseball that Sunday and even won the tournament. Deborah was the oldest player on the team at 35 years, and she won The Most Valuable Female Player of The Tournament award.

After two grueling days at championship tournament baseball, her muscles, bones and all kinds of things in her body began to get very stiff and very sore that night about 8:00 p.m. Deborah recalled her experience with NonScents from the night before, and decided to repeat that hot soaking bath with a little Pro Powder in the tub. After about 20 minutes of soaking she felt better and was able to sleep well all night. The next morns g when she woke up she hardly had any stiffness or soreness at all, and what few mild pain symptoms she had were completely gone by Tuesday. Normally, she would have expected to be very sore and stiff for at least a week afterward. Usually the first couple of days would be so bad that it would be even hard to walk from all of the pain. Just wiping a tabletop oft would be a very painful ordeal. However, a little bit of NonScents in her bath water made a tremendous difference ~ her post games comfortlevel, and there was for all practical purposes n o recovery from pain to be concerned about.

Deborah has used NonScents in a similar way on a number of other occassions to relieve the pain from over exertion and strained muscles. She has played in at least 2 other baseball tournaments similar to the one described in this case histroy where NonScents was used to relieve the post game aches and pains with the same kind of results. Furthermore in January, 1991 they experienced the worst snow storm of the wmter. Shoveling that snow caused her muscles to stiffen up about 10 hours later and become very sore. Soaking in a hot tub of water with NonScents before going to bed relieved much of those symptoms, and there was virtually no soreness or stiffness the next day.

Deborah's daughter plays basketball and volleyball and she often pulls muscles various parts of her body. She takes her mother's advice when that happens and takes a hot soaking bath with NonScents. Most of the pain from such injuries is gone the next day. If any remains she will repeat the soaking process with NonScents powder in the water, and all symptoms are usually completely gone the next day.

Case History: DEAD BODY

Mary Ann Goff Portage, Indiana, U.S.A. July, 1989

Mary Ann Goff was giving a NonScents demonstration to the Moose Lodge of which she is a member. After the meeting a woman came up to her and told her that her father had died from a heart attack in his house. He told his neighbors that he was leaving the next day to go on a trip, but th e next day his car was still ~ the garage. After not seeing his car leave the house for aweek, and trying to contact himwithout response, his neighbors became more concerned about his well being. On the seventh day the police and coroner were brought m and found this man dead in the bathroom. The body was already beginning to decompose and was covered with magggots in places. This was a three bedroom house with an attached garage and a basement. The odor of decayed flesh permeated the entire house.

This man's daughter, who was at the Moose Lodge demonstration, had called a commercial cleaning company to clean up the house and remove the odor. Their fee for this service was $500. When they finished, the remaining odor see med to be almost as bad as it was originally, and in addition, it now had the additional odors from the chemicals that the cleaning company used to decontaminate the house. Thus, this woman was m a desperate situation. She needed to sell this house, which was a nice piece of real estate, but no one could even bear to walk in the house because of these odors.

Mary Ann sold this woman three caps (2 lb. bags) and one box of 4 oz. bags, which contains four bags. She told this woman to put one of the caps in the bathroom and open the window slightly. She also told this woman to put the remammg bags (caps and 4 oz. bags) in the supply air vents and a few other places. However, the woman just placed these bags indiscriminately around the house and did not put any in the air ventilation system. The air conditioni^I g system was also not turned on.

Two days later this woman checked the house and found that there was still a strong odor present. Mary Ann was asked to go to the house. She found that the chemical odors from the commercial cleaners were more intense than those from decayed flesh. The product was rearranged. Two of the caps were hung on a clothes line in the bathroom where the body was found and where the odors were most intense. The window was opened about 1 1/2 inches. 611 the doors inside the house were opened to let air circulate through the whole building. Prior to this time, the doors were all closed ~ an unsuccessful attempt to contain the odor. Four of the 4 oz. bags were put
a nearby closet, sixteen more were put in the bathroom, and a couple were put ~ the supply air vent. This time the air contitioner was turned on. Three days later Mary Ann called this woman and learned that all of the odors were gone from the house. This woman wrote Mary Ann a testimonial letter to the effectiveness of NonScents Word of this successful application allowed Mary Ann to sell another $400-$500 of product to members of her Moose Lodge.

Comment

Some very important lessons can be learned from this ease history. First, it is obvious that the commercial cleaning company originally called in did a good job in cleaning the area of greatest contamination. This is indicated by the small amount of product that was needed to resolve this problem. A second important lesson to be learned is that it is not a good idea to just tell a client how to use the product and expect them to use it that way* E possible it is best for the distributor to apply the product. There is a better chance that a distributor will have a mare comprehensive understanding of an odor problem and will make sure that the product is applied correctly. The time and expertise is worth the fee that they will pay you.

Case History: DEAD BODY

By: Carol Cowan Location: New Norway, Alberta, Canada Date: January 1990

On January 18, 1990 an elderly gentleman passed away i his one bedroom apartment which was about 700 square feet in i loor area. The person died in the bathroom, and by the time his body was discovered 11 days later a substanti 1 amount of decomposition had occurred. The apartment was cleaned by the Housing Development that owned that apartment complex. The carpet, furniture and drapes were removed from the apartment. Even the toilet ~ the bathroom was removed because body fluids from the deceased had seeped under it and soaked through to the plywood sub-i looting. The apartment was then fumigated on three separate occasions

an attempt to deodorize it. The chemicals from the fumigation process did nothing to reduce the odors ~ the apartment, and some might even argue that they may have even compounded the problem.

On the day that Carol Cowan and two other supervisors were asked to check the apartment by one of the building representatives the odor was still unbelievably strong. They could smell the odor in the hallway at least 10 feet away from the door of the apartment. Upon entering the apartment these odors were so intense that they caused nausea among the whole group, and one member lost the contents of his stomach several times by vomiting. The apathy ent would have been almost impossible to work in because of the stench so each person took a 4 oz. bag of NonScents and held it over their face covering up the nose and mouth. This hand-held gas mask worked remarkably well. It did not cover their face entirely so they still got momentary jolts of stench, but otherwise the intense odor was quite well neutralized and they were able to work in a reasonably comfortable mam^ler as long as they held the NonScents bag over their face.

Product application began by distributing one case of caps (2 lb. bags) throughout the apartment in con venient places such as the floor, shelves, kitchen counter, etc. They sprinkled 16 cans of NonSeents powder on the floor. In addition they used 2 boxes of 4 oz. bags (each box contains 4 of the 4 oz. bags). One box was used in the kitchen cabinets, and the other 4 bags were put in the refrigerator which had been previously cleaned out. Then they turned on a ceiling fan and slightly opened a window, and brought ~ another electric fan to circulate the air in the apartment.

After just two days most of the odor, perhaps about 75~o had been eliminated. The product was left in place for about one week. After a week the caps were taken out and desorbed by being put in a plastic garbage bag and left out in the sun far about 2 days. The caps seemed to be reasonably well regenerated even ~ that short time by using the solar oven method of Resorption. Note that this was January ~ Alberta when heat from sunlight is a rather precious commodity. However, this method was sufficient to desorb the product so that it could be used again for another week in that apartment. Most of the odor had been removed from the apartment during the first week. The reapplication of the caps w as intended to pick up any remaining odors.

After the second week all the product was removed from the apartment and it was completely odor free. The management of the apartment complex planned to tear out the walls and floors of the un t after it had been fumigated, but now that it was odor free, they did not have to do that. Needless to say, they were very impressed with the product called NonScents.

Case History: DEAD BODY

By: Bob Zitnn Location: Hollywood, Florida, USA. Date: June 1988 - November 1988

A woman was found dead in her bed in her house. The coroner's report estimated she had been dead for about mne days before her body was discovered in June 1988. The body and bed mattress were removed from the house. The utilities were turned off and the house was then locked and put into probate until November 1988, when an attorney called a pest control company to inquire if they could remove the malodors. The pest control knew that Bob Zitrin was also a NonScents distributor and asked him to handle this cass.

When Bob went to the house and opened the door the odor was so intense that he choked and closed the door right away. He went to his truck for his Wilson Respirator (standard equipment for an insect exterminator) so that he could breathe and function properly in the house. The house seemed to be undisturbed since the body, covers and mattress were removed several months earlier.

Application of the NonScents powder began by sprinkling eight cans of powder throughout the house. Most of the powder was put on the rug and other items that had fabrics such as furniture, etc. One case of caps (2 lb. bags) was distributed throughout the house. Most of the caps were put in the bedroom where the odor was most intense. Two caps were put in the supply air vent, and over other air vents in the house. Two caps were put in the bottom part of the refrigerator and another one in the freezer. When the utilities were turned off there was food in the refrigerator that spoiled. He also used three boxes of 4 oz. bags which were put on tables, in cabinets and in some of the closed compartments in the refrigerator. The utilities were now turned back on in the house. The refrigerator was then turned on to its lowest setting to allow for air circulation to enhance adsorption of the odors. The air conditioner was also turned on to circulate air throughout the house.

Bob returned to the house two days later. He found that most of the odor was gone, but there was still some odor left ~ the living room. This puzzled him at first because the woman's body was found in the bedroom. After he looked around the living room he noticed that the odor seemed to be more intense under a couch. He turned the couch over and found that the woman's dog had died there. The dog was small and probably did not weigh more than 10-15 pounds. By this time it was dehydrated to just skin and bones, which were quickly cleaned up. The rug under the dead animal was stained from body fluids. One can of powder was put over this area from strings, and they will be quite useful in adsorbing large quantities of odors, along with powder that would be on the floor and other exposed surfaces.

Once the product has been applied in the manner described above it should be kept in place for at least 2-3 days. After several days the product should be removed. After the product is removed there should be a noticeable decrease ~ the intensity of the odor. This is oftenvery impressive evidence that the odor molecules are locked up with the NonScents crystals. The powder is disposed of in the trash. The caps are desorbed by heat from the sun or some other cooking process. Product application of this type may have to be made several times in severe cases.

One type of situation that is often unique in dead body cases, especially where a person has died in their home, is a multiple source of odor. In such cases the electricity may be eventually turned of I: to the house. If there is food in the refrigerator it will spoil and be the source of additional mal-odors. If the deceased had pets they may be overlooked, and left to die tragically on their own at a later date. Eventually their decomposed bodies may provide another source of foul odors that will have to be treated separately.

Case History : DEAD BODY

Doc Toups Location: South Louisiana, USA. Date: November 1997

This case history is an example of a "category 5" in the NonSeents Product Use Guidelines. We desire to caution the reader that because of the nature and seventy o f this problem the reading of this material may be offensive to some individuals. We have tried to describe this situation as discreetly as possible. There are a number of very important lessons to learn about the application of NonScents' product in this case history.

The nature of th s case history is so sensitive that an exact location of where it took place is deliberately not being revealed. In an apartment complex in south Louisiana residents, on all sides of an apartment, complained about severe odors emanating from a particular apartment. Inspection of the apartment found that a man had died and his body was on the floor of the living room. It was a two bedroom apartment of about 800 square feet. The coroner later estimated that the man had been dead for about 17 days.

This was one of Doc's first consulting jobs as a NonScents distributor. When he arrived at the site the body had been removed from the apartment, but the cause of death had not been determined. Doc was instructed to put on a Scott Air Pack (an air oxygen tank that firemen use.) This was done as a protective measure against any other contaminants that may have caused the death of the person, and because the odors of decomposed flesh were almost beyond human endurance. Inside the apartment an outline of the persons body was found on the living room rug, which was caused by extruded decomposed body fluids. Three cans of powder were put over this area. Nine more cans of ~ powder was applied to the rest of the apartment. The rugs were covered with powder as well as the bed, chairs, sofa, cabinet tops, etc. The drapes were taken down and a liberal covering of powder was applied to them as well. Then eight caps (2 lb. bags) were put in the return air vent. Two caps were hung over each air vent in each room. In addition, ten caps were placed near where the bodywas found. These were placed in convenient places such as, furniture, etc. The ventilation fan in the apartment was left on to circulate air throughout the apartment. This is a very important step because ff owing air brings the positively charged odor molecules in contact with NonScents faster so they can be adsorbed more efficiently. The product was left this way for three days. Doc also noted that after leaving the apartment his clothes reeked of these odors. To reduce and ultimately remove these odors he dusted his clothes with powder. Later when he got home they were washed with an additional dose (a couple of tablespoons of NonScents powder added to the laundry soap.

DEAD BODIES

DEAD BODIES

Dead bodies of any type of animal produce some of the most horrible odors that one can imagine. The chemistry of these odors is very complex, and they involve many different types of gases. These odors are also extremely difficult to remove. Most disinfectants and chemicals hardly begin to eliminate these odors. NonScents is one of the few known materials that is able to effectively remove such odors. Dead body odor molecules are very large and can only be adsorbed onto the sides of NonScents crystals. This means that the vast internal surface area of the NonScents crystals is not used

the odor removal process. Fortunately, these cry stats are very small so they also provide a very large surface area for adsorbtion to occur on.

The general procedure for deodorizing a house or room that has been contaminated from the odors from a dead body is discussed as follows. After the body has been removed and the area cleaned as well as possible, the NonScents product can be applied. In some cases it may still be necessary to wear some kind of air respirator so as to be able to breath and function properly in the infected area. In one case several people placed a 4 ounce bag over their nose and mouth and it worked quite well as a makeshift gas mask to allow them to work ei Eectively in an apartment where a person had died. It is usually best to powder very heavily the area and room where the body was found. Put powder on any and all surfaces, such as furnit are, table tops, cupboards, etc. Furniture with fabrics can hold a lot of odors so everything needs to be covered with powder. Drapes should be removed and powdered as well. The floors should also be thoroughly powdered.

It is advantageous if the house or building has a forced air system for cooling and heating, because caps (2 lb bags) can be put inside the supply air vents (vents that blow air into a room). If the odors are very severe 3, 4, or 5 caps can be put into each of the supply air vents. It may also be necessary to put some caps in the return air vent (vent that returns air to the air conditioner). However, one should be careful not to put to much product in the return air vent because that will cause the air conditioner to draw harder, and could possibly, eventually burn the system up. The product in the supply and return air vents acts as an air scrubber which removes these odor causing molecules as it flows over, in or around the NonScents product ~ these air ducts. If the odors arenot adsorbed the first time through the system, they will be eventually as they are recirculated through the system over and over again.

If aroom or building does not have a forced air system it is still necessary to circulate the air through the room or rooms in the house or building. This can be done with the use of fans at strategic locations. Caps (2 lb bags) can be suspended from the ceiling

Case History: FIRE ANT SI ING

Dr. Paul J. Roper, Ph.D. Houston, Texas, U.S~. April, 1990

The home of Paul J. Roper, Technical Director of NonScents, is surrounded by man fire ant nests ~ During the last couple of months he has destroyed at least 50-60 of these nests in his front lawn with pesticides. One day when he went to get his mail, at the mail box in front of his house? a fire ant stung him on the side of his big toe on his lef foot Within a few minutes the pain from the sting began to intensify in a type of be non sensation Anyone that has been stung by a fire ant is well aware of the stinging pain.

At this point Paul recalled the case histories on bee stings, and burns that he hat written. He wondered if NonScents could help relieve the pain, and perhaps the swelling and the festering of the fire ant sting When he went into his house he opener a can of NonScents powder. He took a moist cloth and dampened his toe The moisture on the skin would help hold the powder to his toe more securely in the form of a this mud cake. Only the i inest powder was used so that it would also adhere better to the skin A thin powder cake was applied over the wound. He then began to read his mail About 10 minutes later he realized that he did not have any sensation of pain at al where the sting had occurred. The wound also did not swell up in a red welt as would be expected from a i ire ant sting Furthermore, the sting did not fester into a small boi the next day as would normally occur with this type of sting A small red mark persister for a couple of days where the sting occurred, but there was no pain, and for all practica purposes no swelling, or festering of the wound In 2 or 3 days it was difficult to eves tell where the sting occurred

FIRE ANT STINGS

Everyone living in the Gulf States of the United States has had an encounter with fire ants. E their nest is disturbed they will attempt to swarm over what ever disturbed themin ama:tter of just a few seconds. If aperson or animal is involved they will become acutely aware of what has happened by a sudden extremely hot burning sensation from each sting, and many stings may occur in just a few seconds. These insects can be so vicious that entire villages ~ the Amazon basin had been deserted because of an invasion of fire ants.

The initial extremely hot burning sensation from a fire ant sting is caused by formic acid (HCOOH). This is the same substance that causes the burning in bee and wasp stings, and in stinging nettles. However, there are other toxms in the fire ant venom that will cause the infected area to fester into a small and painful boil. Depending on the intensity of the sting, or sensitivity of the infected area? such boils will usually farm within 24 hours. They may remain for as long as several days, unless they are broken open, then take several more days to heal.

NonScents does not make any medical claims that it promotes healing of fire ant stings. However, NonScents does have some physical and chemical properties that could explain how and why it seems to relive the pain and infection from such a wound. Apparently formic acid and the other tomns are polarized molecules and are readily adsorbed by NonScents. That is why the burning pain from the stings disappears in just a few minutes. Most of the other toxins that cause the festering seem to be removed at about the same time, or shortly afterward, because the stings treated with NonScents do not fester into boils. Usually within 2 or 3 days or less it is very difficult, if not impossible, to even locate the sting area. The best results in using NonScents on fire ant stings occurs during the intense burning interval shortly after it has been inflicted.
Case History: BURNED FINGERS By: Location: Date:

Darlene Thibeaudeau Houston, Texas, U.S:~A. August 26, 1990

Darlene Thibeadeau was the Word Processor at N. onScents who typed many of the case histories which have been written about this product. Almost exactly 4 months prior to this incident she suffered a minor burn while cooking a meal for her family, and used NonScents to take away the pain from that in juy. I herefore, she is well aware how useful NonScents is in the ldtchen. This particular evening she was cooking a late dinner for her family when her 3-year-old son, who was by her side, reached up and apparently touched the pan that she was cooking rlinner in on the stove. Her son generally seems to have a low sensitivity to pain and will often cry if he scratches himself or is bitten by an insect. This accident was no exception to his apparent pain tolerance, because he began to cry quite violently

Darlene noticed that the first two i ingers on his right hand were very red and shiny. She knew exactly what to do next, and filled the kitchen sink about half full with water and put about a quarter of a cup of NonScents powder in the water and stirred it up. Then she put her son's burned hand in the water. Within just a few seconds he stopped crying. She put his high chair next to the sink so he could be more comfortable. After a few minutes he took his hand out of the water and went into the living room to play. However, in just 2-3 minutes he would be back at the sink to put his hand in the w ater because the pain continued to return to his fingers.

It wasn't long before Darlene's son realized that he would have to return to the sink with NonSeents in the water to relieve the pain in his fingers. Soon he began to m ake a mess of things by playing and splashing with the water. Darlene realized that she was going to have to find a better way to service her son's injured fingers so she could finish cooking dinner. She took a large "Stop N Go" quart cup and filled it with water, and put about 4-5 tablespoons of NonScents powder in it and stirred it up so the water became muddy in appearance. She then put this cup on a coffee table so that her son could go over to it every few minutes when the pain ~ his burned fingers bothered hlm.

Her son burned himself about 8:00 p.m. Usually he goes to 'bed at 8:30 p.m. However, this evemng he would not go to bed because of the pain from the burn. His parents were also afraid that he would spill the water in his bed so he stayed up until 9:00 p.m. By that time all the pain had left the afflicted area. Darlene's son probably had his hand in NonScents water for a maximum of about 45 minutes that evening. He was very tired and went to bed and fast to sleep very quickly. He slept comfortably all night. The next day, he had two magnificent blisters on his fingers which he would occasionally show to his parents, but he did not experience any more pain Mom the
Case Historly: BURNED FINGERS By: Location: Date:

Marianne Barber Houston, Texas, USA. May 19, 1990

Marianne Barber is the Accounting Assistant at NonScents. Recently Marianne heard one of her co-workers, Darlene Thibeadeau, tell about an experience that she had in using NonScents to take away the Pam from a burn that she received while cooking breakfast. Much to her surprise she was about to test NonSc:ents in a similar manner.

This Saturday morning, Marianne was cooking bacon and cinnamon rolls for part of the breakfast meal. The oven had been set at 400° F for the cinnamon rolls. The bacon was being cooked on the front left burner of the stove. A blue metal plate was also placed between the four burners on this stove. When the bacon was cooked she took it i tom the flying pan and put it in the blue metal plate. After she had cooked all of the bacon she reached over to pick up the blue metal plate. Apparently, the heat from the stove and burner that was used to cook the bacon had also heated this metal plate to a high tem perature. When she picked up the blue metal plate she burned her thumb and first two fingers on her right hand. The burning pain was quite severe. An three fingers h^lrned bright red and the skin had a shiny appearance.

Marianne's first reaction, besides mentioning some deleted comments, was to put her burned fingers under cold tap water from the sink. This did not relieve the paw. Then she reached for a can of NonScents powder, which was underneath the sink and generously sprinkled it on her fingers and formed a thick, muddy paste over them. She was too involved in her cooking to recall exactly when the Paul disappeared. However, when she rinsed the powder from her fingers about 3 minutes later all the pain from the burn was completely gone, and there was no more redness to the afflicted area.

The burned area did not blister afterward. When breakfast was finished she washed dishes in very hot water, and the heat from the hot water did not bother her burned fingers Later that afternoon she took a hot bath and the heat from that water also did not bother her burned fingers. The apparent bee g from the burn was so com plete that Marianne essentially forgot about it until she went to work on Monday, and a casual conversation with one of her friends reminded her of the incident.

.
burn. Five days later the blisters had broken open and the slain was peeling off the burned area. The new skin seemed normal and had no signs of infection.

Comment

This ease history: is somewhat unusual ~ that the pain seemed to continually return to this boys fingers. All other cases have resulted in the elimination of virutally all pain from burns in 5-15 minutes. Experience has shown that when a person has submerged a burned area m cold water with NonScents that the pain Will go away or be greatly relieved in a matter of just a few seconds or minutes. However, if a person takes the burned area out of the water with NonScents shortly after the pain dissipates, the pain will return in much the same way that it returns when taking ice water away from the burn. This child seemed to be distracted as soon as the pain disappeared from his fingers, and would either begin playing with the water or wander away from it until the pain returned. If he had kept his burned fingers in the water with NonSeents for about 5-10 minutes the recurring pain probably would not have occurred.

Case History: BURNED FINGERS

Darlene Thibeaudeau Houston, Texas, U.S:~A.

The apparent bee g from the burn was so com plete that Marianne essentially forgot about it until she went to work on Monday, and a casual conversation with one of her friends reminded her of the incident.

.

Case History: BURNED FINGERS

Marianne Barber Houston, Texas, USA. Suburb of Chicago, and Kenosha, Wisconsin, U.S.A.
Date: September, 1989

Allen Eddy had a NonScents booth at a Sharpei Bull Dog Show in a N.W. suburb of Chicago. During the second day of the show a small boy about 8-9 years old stood crying by his booth. He told his mother, who had come over to soothe his tears, that he had been stung by a bee on his wrist. The sting looked like a large welt. Allen also tried to comfort the boy, and suggested that he put some NonScents powder on the wound. They put powder over the sting that covered an area about an inch or so in diameter. The boy sat down next to the booth. About ten minutes later Allen noticed the mother looking at her son's wrist. He had stopped crying for the pain had gone away, and the swelling had almost completely disappeared as well. The mother said that he was generally very sensitive to bee stings, although not so allergic that they had to carry special medication for him. The mother told several people around her about what had happened, and they bought cans of NonScents powder just for bee stings.

A week or so later Allen had a NonScents booth at another dog show which was in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The booth was outside and for some reason there were a lot of bees and yellow jackets flying around the area. A 78 year old lady came up to his booth with a very badly swollen lip. The swelling also extended to the side of her face. The swelling was caused by either a bee or yellow jacket sting about a half hour earlier. Allen recalled his previous experience with this sort of thing and told her to take some powder on her fingers and hold it against her lip. About 30-45 minutes later the woman returned to the NonScents booth in a much better mood, because the pain was gone and the swelling was greatly reduced. She began to tell other people about what happened to her and how NonScents helped heal her sting. Shortly after that several other people came up to the NonScents booth holding their hand, arms, etc. out with bee or yellow jacket stings for a little dab of NonScents to ease their wounds.

Comment

It is interesting to note that both animals and humans have long used mud to put on bee stings to ease the pain and swelling. Zeolites, and certain types of clay minerals that also have adsorption properties, are common constituents of mud and clay. Thus, it is not unreasonable to assume that the electrostatic negative charge of these minerals may attract the positive side of a large organic molecule that makes up the poison in a bee sting. If this is the case, then it is understandable that NonScents could be a very effective means of treating this type of condition. NonScents would also be expected to be much more effective than most mud or clays because of its much higher concentration of zeolite.

BEE, WASP, YELLOW JACKET AND HORNET STINGS

Millions of people are probably stung by these insects every year. Although these stings can be very painful, most of them usually cause relatively non-threatening symptoms for only 2 or 3 days. However, multiple stings can be potentially dangerous, and individuals that are hypersensitive to the toxins from these insects have been known to die from a single sting.

Bees and wasps, the latter of which include hornets and yellow jackets, are a rather complex group of insects that belong to the order called Hymenoptera. Most people are not able to distinguish between bees and wasps because the anatomical differences are rather subtle for the untrained eye to recognize. For our purposes it is not important to be able to distinguish these stinging or biting insects, but to know what to do with the NonScents product if they inflict you with a wound. Most bees inflict pain by a stinger that is injected into the skin of the host. Many of the wasps, on the other hand inflict their wounds by biting.

NonScents does not make any medical claims that it promotes healing of bee and wasp stings. However, NonScents does have some physical and chemical properties that could explain how and why it seems to relieve the pain and swelling from such a wound.

Regardless of whether a person is stung by a bee or bitten by a wasp the result is basically the same. The venom from these insects is moderately complex. The immediate, intense burning sensation from these stings or bites is caused by formic acid (HCOOH). This acid causes a similar type of burning sensation from fire ant stings and stinging nettles. However, bee stings and wasp bites also have alkaline neurotoxic compounds in their venom, which are responsible for the more serious symptoms that can be associated from these wounds. Both the formic acid and neurotoxic compounds are polarized molecules, because they are adsorbed by NonScents very effectively. NonScents may eventually prove to be a very effective means of removing many different kinds of potentially dangerous toxins from the body.
Case history studies indicate that the most intense burning pain from these stings is usually removed in 5-15 minutes. However, if the injured area is left exposed to NonScents longer it will probably be more effective. There may still be some pain and swelling from the sting, but after a night of rest those symptoms are usually almost completely gone. These stings and bites have been treated successfully with NonScents by making it into a mud poultice or by putting it into a small pan of water. The wound is then covered by the poultice or immersed in the water.

PAIN AND SWELLING

Pain is a very complex phenomenon, and it defies a simple comprehensive definition. Research in this field has demonstrated that pain is much more variable, complex, and subject to modification than anyone imagined in the past. Most individuals expect that pain is onfy a physical phenomena which must always follow an injury, and that the intensity of that pain is proportional to the amount and extent of the damage. Pain research,(l) on the other hand, has demonstrated that such a perception is not always correct, and that there seems to be an important psychological element associated with the type and intensity of pain. These and many other studies have shown that the type and intensity of pain that an individual might experience from an injury can be associated with a perceptual and emotional quality. Most people would expect that individuals that have experienced severe injuries from wounds in warfare would be in a great amount of pain. However, many of these individuals do not complain of excruciating pain, and do not request morphine to reduce pain from the injury. On the other hand, almost all civilians that had undergone major surgery from incisions similar to the wounds received by soldiers, required morphine to help alleviate the pain. On the other hand, about 30 percent of individuals that have experienced amputation of a limb will complain about the pain in that severed portion of their body long after it has been removed. Such a condition is known as "phantom-limb pain." This psychological element may be determined by the past history that a person has had with that type of painful situation, by the meaning they give to the pain producing situation, and by the "state of mind" at the moment it happened. Even cultural perceptions of pain producing conditions can determine how we react to such events.

There is one all important positive aspect of pain that warns us that something physically harmful is happening to one's body, and that something needs to be done to correct that situation before more damage is done, this is usually a uniquely unpleasant sensation that becomes so overwhelming that it obliterates anything else we may have been doing or thinking about at the time. In other words, the sensation of pain demands our immediate and complete attention to stop it as soon as possible, and by what ever means available.
The pain sensation that is most relevant to NonScents is that aspect of it that is predominately physical in nature. This perspective recognizes many types of pain, and each variety of pain seems to have its own unique aspects even if these features cannot be articulated very clearly. For instance, the pain from a headache is different from the pain experienced from a burn, which differs from the pain from a bruise, which is different from the pain brought on by a canker sore in the mouth. Stomach pains and cramps are unique and differ from the pain experienced from bee stings, gout, fire ant stings, arthritis, hemorrhoids, etc. NonScents does not make any medical claims that it is able to cure or heal pain or swelling. However, NonScents does have some physical and chemical properties that could explain how it might help to relieve pain and swelling. Soon after case history studies were started at NonScents in the early fall of 1989 it became apparent that this product was bringing physical relief from a wide assortment of ailments to both animals and people. Eventually patterns began to emerge, and more clearly defined many of the types of physical problems that NonScents was apparently able to help. As this data base began to grow one of the prominent trends that emerged was that NonScents seemed to be able to bring a great amount of relief to many different types of pain. Many of these cases were also accompanied by a substantial amount of swelling. It seems that the pain message triggers other mechanisms that may cause swelling in the injured area so as to help contain the deleterious effects of such a wound. However, after pain was removed most, if not all, of the swelling would soon disappear in about a day or less. In many of these cases, if these conditions had been treated by conventional methods the pain and swelling would last for at least several days. Often when NonScents was applied to an afflicted area, relief from most, if not all, of the pain usually occurred in minutes. In other cases, such as with gout, the pain disappeared or was greatly diminished overnight. Usually swelling seems to take longer to subside, but is often greatly reduced or completely gone after a good night of rest.

There are certain types of pain that NonScents does not affect at all For example NonScents will not bring relief to a headache, or a broken heart, and there is no convincing evidence that it has helped relieve pain from at least several types of arthritis. NonScents seems to work most effectively in relieving pain from the skin or flesh, muscles, etc.

After it became apparent that NonScents was able to bring substantial relief to many kinds of pain, the obvious question that arose was how does it work? The answer to that question is not clearly understood at this time, and the final analysis of this phenomenon will have to be left for the proper scientific, medical and governmental authorities to determine. However, it is tempting to speculate how NonScents might be able to bring such quick relief, especially to so many types of pain. The following discourse is offered as a possible explanation for this phenomenon.
The most obvious property that NonScents has is that of adsorption, whereby the negative charge on those crystals is able to attract the positive end of polarized molecules. The polarized molecules will then be attached to the sides of the NonScents crystals in a way that is similar to a piece of steel that is attracted to and becomes attached to a magnet. The difference between this analogy is that the magnet uses a magnetic force for the attraction and attachment, whereas the NonScents zeolite crystals and the polarized molecules have electrostatic charges (electric charge that does not move) which can accomplish the same thing. Somehow this property must be able to interrupt the biological process that causes many types of pain. Next it would be pertinent to consider the biological factors that cause pain.

Pain is very important to a living being because it warns a person or animal of something that is very wrong or dangerously threatening the body. Thus pain is an urgent message that is passed onto the central nervous system to be identified and analyzed. Therefore, it is necessary to consider how the pain message is transmitted to the central nervous system. Standard textbooks in zoology and comparative anatomy indicate that information is passed on to the central nervous system by a complex network of nerves. The nervous system is composed of a group of nerve cells called neurons. The cells have many very fine and delicate tube-like extensions that are called dendrites which have many branches that wrap around other cells in the body. It is from these connections that a neuron receives incoming signals. One part of the neuron extends away from the nerve cell body as a long and thicker extension, and is called the axon. This portion of the nerve cell provides a pathway over which signals can travel from a cell body for a long distance to another part of the nervous system. An axon may be anywhere from a centimeter to a meter or more long, a single neuron and its axon does not usually go all the way to the brain or central nervous system. Instead, the axon terminal end, bifurcates into many small branches which connect with other neurons at their dendrite or axion branches. The point of connection to another nerve cell is called a synapse .(2) This is a relay point between two cells where the information from one cell must be passed onto another. The synapse consists of two parts: a knob-like tip of an axon terminal and a receptor region on the surface of another neuron. However, these two membranes are separated by a small gap called the synaptic cleft.

Somehow, the message from one neuron must be passed across this synaptic gap. Precisely how this is accomplished is still not completely understood. However, it must involve some kind of an electrochemical reaction in the vicinity of the synapse. Scanning electron microscope photos have shown small vesicles in the synaptic membrane that contain packets of a transmitter chemical (3,4) that has been identified as acetylcholine or noradrenaline.(5) When these vesicles are opened up the transmitter chemical is released, and it bridges the synaptic cleft so that the message is transmitted to the next neuron. Research has identified a number of chemicals that have either proven to be neurotransmitters, or at least meet many of the criteria for such a substance. In this way the message eventually reaches the central nervous system.

The fluid inside a neuron cell is also known to be much more concentrated in potassium than the body fluids outside the cell which are rich in sodium. If this equilibrium is disrupted the nerve cell may not function properly and the message transmittal process may become eratic or even shut down. Zeolites do adsorb heavy metals very effectively. In fact clinoptilolite, which is the variety of zeolite in NonScents, shows a strong preference to adsorb large atoms with a single positive charge such as potassium. Both sodium and potassium have only a single positive charge, but potassium is the larger so it is preferred for adsorption.
This senario would suggest that many small crystals of NonScents which range in size from less than a micron to several microns in diameter could easily cover up neuron endings in the synapse area. One micron equals one millionth 10 of a meter. That

endings in the synapse area. One micron equals one millionth 10" of a meter. That size is better understood by the fact that it would take about 400 microns to fit over the dot in the "i" in the word micron. The adsorption from the crystals may desiccate the neuron of much of its potassium and disrupt the message transmitting process. The NonScents crystals may even adsorb much, if not all of the chemical transmitter, such as acetylcholine. In such a way the message transmitting process would be shut down, and the pain message would not reach the central nervous system. Therefore, the sensation of pain would cease to exist.
Even in a very small wound such as a sting from a bee, wasp, fire ant, stinging nettles, etc. there is plenty of room for the tiny NonScents crystals to enter the damaged area and adsorb toxins which cause pain and swelling. It must be remembered that the vast majority of poisonous chemicals that are very dangerous are usually toxic in extremely small quantities. In the vast majority of cases it does not require much NonScents to adsorb such small quantities of toxins. If the toxins are removed quickly from a wound it is reasonable to assume that the pain will be terminated or greatly reduced. Removal of the toxin would also greatly decrease the severity of the wound, and in addition swelling would also be decreased or eliminated
Many toxins are known to have an acidic pH. NonScents, and most zeolites, when placed in a small quantity of neutral water will cause its pH to become slightly alkaline. Thus, in some cases NonScents may also help detoxify a toxin by neutralizing its pH and changingits chemistry. This probably is notavery important aspect of bringing relief to most stings orinfections because if it was only a simple matter of neutralising the pH of a toxin, with baking soda would suffice. However, in some cases, such as with gout the alkaline pH may help to dissolve the uric acid crystals in the infected area more efficiently which would bring relief to that kind of condition.

A hot tub or whirlpool bath has a tendency to cause the tiny crystals of NonScents to adhere to a persons body. The small size of these crystals will cause many of them to adhere against many of the smallest pores of the skin. Thus, even though one side of the crystal maybe adsorbing water from the tub, the other side of the crystal would be available to adsorb toxins from the body that come in contact with the skin. Thus, large portions of the body could become detoxified and bring relief from pain and swelling in various parts of the body.

References Cited
(1) Melzack, R., Feb. 1961, The Perception of Pain.
(2) Stevens, C.F., Sept. 1979, The Neuron, Sri. Some of the work that they do involves cleaning the various types of air filtration machines that are used in many types of buildings. This is done in part by using rags to apply or help clean up a degreaser known as Acti-Klean, which is a strong surfactant with alkaline binders, and a coil cleaning agent called Acti-Brite, which contains hydrofluoric and phosphoric acid in concentrations strong enough to attack glass and silica. People working with these materials wear special rubberized gloves because the degreaser would dry out their hands and the coil cleaner would produce very severe acid burns. The rags that are used in working with these materials are brought back to the company workshop where they are sorted and sent out to be cleaned.

One of the employees in this shop was sorting these dirty rags that were going to be sent to the cleaners. These rags were coated with both degreaser and coil cleaning chemicals. Apparently he inadvertently forgot to put on his protective gloves while performing this work. After sorting these fabrics for about 15 minutes he noticed that his hands became unusually red and stiff, and began to feel like as though they were on fire from a very intensive burning sensation. His hand and forearm also had a strange tingling sensation. This employee went to Lilyane and showed her what had happened to his hands. Her first thought was to get him to a doctor or hospital as soon as possible, because not very long ago another one of her employees had these chemicals on his flesh and he missed two weeks of work from the injuries. Then she remembered reading some case histories about NonScents helping people that had been burned, and wondered if it might apply to this situation as well. She told the employee to put some NonScents powder on his hands and forearms, which he did. He left it on about 15 minutes. However, within about 5 minutes most of the burning and tingling sensation had left his hands. Certainly after 15 minutes these symptoms were for all practical purposes gone. He put on a second covering of NonScents powder over his hands and forearms just as a precaution, but it was not necessary, because he felt good enough to go directly back to work after the first treatment. After NonScents had been applied to his hands the redness went away, there was no swelling and the stiffness and tingling sensations were completely gone, and this employee went back to work without missing any time off for sick leave.

Burns

BURNS

Burns can be caused by a wide variety of agents including flame, hot water, steam, chemicals, electricity, radiation, excessive exposure to bright sunlight. All of these wounds are treated in about the same way. However, one of the most frightening aspects of burns is the incredibly intense pain associated with it. Even minor burns cause a great deal of discomfort from pain. Burns are generally categorized into three different types, based upon the depth of degree of the burn.

First Degree - skin is red (Erythema) without blistering
Second Degree - skin is red (Erythema) and blistered
Third Degree - destruction of full thickness of skin and often deeper tissues. This type of burn is very dangerous and requires the attention of a physician and hospital equipment as soon as possible. A burn of this severity usually results in a condition known as "shock." In this case the individual may not complain of pain until the shocked condition has dissipated.

The pain from minor burns of the first two categories can usually be temporarily relieved by ice cold water. However, as anyone who has had such a burn knows, if the burned area is removed from the ice water the pain usually returns almost immediately. Sometimes the ice cold water is so chilling that it becomes uncomfortable and a person is forced to removed the burned area from it. As soon as that happens the pain from the burn returns, and the situation becomes both frustrating and painful. Usually immersion in ice water for at least 1/2 hour is necessary for minor burns, and in many cases the burning pain will persist much longer than that.

It would seem that if a cheap, efficient, and easy way could be found to greatly relieve or even remove the pain from minor burns in a short period of time, it would have a tremendous, potential market. NonScents has been used very effectively by many people, on many occasions to treat the pain from first and second degree burns. NonScents does not make any medical claims that it heals burns in any way. However, there is no doubt that NonScents somehow does remove the pain from first and second degree burns very quickly, usually in just a few minutes. In most cases when the pain is gone it does not come back unless the injured area is subjected to more intense heat again.

The obvious question arises, "How is it possible for NonScents to apparently remove pain from a burn?" There is no definite answer to this question at this time, and eventually it will be left to the proper medical authorities to provide an official explanation for this phenomenon. However, it is tempting to speculate, from knowledge of the chemical and physical properties of zeolites, as to how they might be able to remove pain so effectively from burns.

Standard text books in zoology and anatomy teach that most of our physical sensations including pain are transmitted along nerves which branch into smaller and smaller channels called neurons. The neurons from one nerve trunk to another are separated by a small space called a synapse. In order for the pain message to go from one nerve to the next nerve trunk and eventually to the nervous system or brain it must bridge the synapse gap. This is apparently done by a combined electro-chemical mechanism. If the chemical that is involved in transmitting the pain message is a polarized molecule, which it apparently is, then it can be adsorbed onto the sides of NonScents crystals. Many of the crystals of NonScents are only a micron (1 millionth of a meter) in diameter so that large quantities of them could get very close to or into the inflicted area, and would be available to adsorb the signal pain killing molecules. In other words, these message-carrying molecules could be adsorbed at their source of origin so the message of pain would not be transmitted to the brain. Thus, the sensation of pain would cease.

Case History: AMMONIA FROM URINE IN PIG FARROWING HOUSE

By: Margaret Elwood and Peter S. Hodgkins
Location: Street Farm, Stradbroke, Suffolk, England
Date: September 13,1989

This is the first case history that we have received from the United Kingdom. Shortly after NonScents opened its UK office, Margaret Elwood and Peter Hodgkins became distributors, and they quickly found an interesting place to test our product in the agriculture business.

A local farm with 70 acres of land specialized in breeding and raising pigs that were sold to make wieners and fat. The farm had a total of 80 sows to produce its pigs. The farrowing house was a building 20'x 30' with a 7'6" ceiling. There was a central passage through the floor of the building that allowed the passage of urine and feces to be removed. At the time of this test 11 sows and 109 piglets were kept in this building for 14 days in warm, humid weather. Prior to the NonScents test, the farmer had closed the windows and the door to this building. This situation resulted in a consistent buildup of ammonia from the animal's body wastes. This condition was so intense that it would cause people to become ill by just going into the building.

A one pound can of powder was sprinkled on the floor of the central waste passage. In addition, 7 of the caps (2 lb. bags) were hung from the ceiling. The building was then closed up. After 30 minutes a substantial reduction in ammonia was noticed. Two hours later the ammonia was almost gone. By the next morning there was not a trace of ammonia. Needless to say the farmer was impressed.

Comment
The elimination of the ammonia odor may be the most obvious benefit this farmer noticed from the application of NonScents. However, there may be some other not so obvious benefits as well. Mortality among young piglets is often quite high. The cause of death is often associated with respiratory infection such as pneumonia. Ammonia is certainly a strong respiratory irritant which could lead to infection.
In Japan, zeolites, and especially clinoptilolite, which is the type of zeolite used in NonScents, has been fed to farm animals for many years to help reduce malodors from their droppings. Other scientific studies with various types of farm animals, especially pigs, has shown that when fed a controlled amount of clinoptilolite they gained weight faster. Furthermore, the likelihood of suffering from scours decreased substantially.

CaseHistory: BILLIE GOAT ODORS

CaseHistoiy: BILLIE GOAT ODORS
By: Pam and Maurie Ellis
Location: Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, Australia
Date: April, 1990

Pam and Maurie Ellis demonstrated the NonScents product to some goat breeders in the Coffs Harbour area of New South Wales, Australia. The goat breeders were impressed that NonScents adsorbed ammonia, but said that they would be much more impressed if it were able to remove the odors from a Billie goat. Apparently, this pungent odor must be experienced to be fully appreciated. These people were most concerned about removing the urine odors from their hands. While working with these animals their fur is saturated with these odors which then are imparted on their hands, feet, etc. Soap and water does not remove these odors.

The goat breeders tested NonScents in the following way. They had their daughter go out and rough up one of the billie goats. A few minutes later she came back and her hands reeked from the urine spray. Then some NonScents powder was put on both of her hands and inside her boots as well. Approximately one tablespoon of powder was poured on each of her hands. She rubbed the powder around on her hands, and dusted it off. The goat breeders were amazed to find that the odor had almost completely disappeared. They had never seen anything like that before.

As a result of this demonstration these goat breeders became distributors, and use the powder all the time. They also use NonScents powder to help deodorize their animals for goat shows.

Case History: MOSCOW CIRCUS ODORS

By: Gail Donahue
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, U.SA.
Date: January, 1989
In January of 1989 The Thomas and Mack Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada hosted the Moscow circus in their facility. The building manager of the convention center always has one major concern. That concern is the pungent odor associated with bringing livestock, especially circus animals, into these buildings. In this particular case the Moscow Circus showed up with 14 bears and 17 tigers. As the animals were unloaded from their trucks, the odors were very strong, and created a great deal of complaints by people in that area. The animal cages in the coliseum were located directly below the catering kitchens, and adjacent to the locker rooms and offices of the University Athletic Department. The animals were kept in an area that was 40 x 60 ft. which is 2400 square feet. The animal trainers kept the cages as clean as possible. However, no amount of maintenance by them could have eliminated the odors which those animals produced.
Gail Donahue and some of her distributors had approached this facility about using NonScents to help reduce potential odor problems in the coliseum. This seemed like an ideal time to try the NonScents product, because something had to be done about the odors that were coming from those animals. The convention center ordered only 5 cases of caps (2 lb bags). This was quite a bit less product and a different type of NonScents than the distributors recommended. They suggested using powder and 1/8 inch grind, which would have probably worked even better.

The coliseum management was initially afraid that the bears and tigers would play with those little yellow bags of NonScents and throw them around their pens. Therefore, they tied the caps to the bars of the cages, and the animals did not even seem to be aware that they were there. The results were startling. In just a little while the odors just seemed to fade away until they were, for all practical purposes, not even noticed. The product and animals remained in the coliseum for about a week. During that time the University of Nevada at Las Vegas basketball team used the coliseum for two of those days for a basketball tournament. No one at those games was able to detect any odors at all from the bears and tigers.

AGRICULTURAL AND ZOO ODORS
Many of these types of odor problems are associated with medium size to large or exotic animals, or small animals in large quantities. Almost all of these situations result in large scale odor problems. NonScents has proven its ability to work in such situations by being used very successfully in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for four years in a row. That is probably the largest such display of animals of that type anywhere in the world. The details for that event are described in one of the case histories in this chapter.

There are various ways that NonScents can be used to help control odor problems with animals. One of the easiest ways to do this sort of thing, if the laws of the country you are living in permit it, is to put NonScents into the food of the animals. Many studies have been made of feeding zeolites, and especially clinoptilolite, which is the variety of zeolite found in NonScents, to animals. The addition of this mineral in the feed seemed to have several very beneficial effects ranging from chickens to cattle, which included gaining body weight faster, reduction and even elimination of scours. However, perhaps the first and most obvious benefit was the reduction in odor from feces. Usually less than 2% zeolite in the feed made a noticeable difference.

Drains are a major source of odors. After wastes have been washed down a drain a little NonScents powder sprinkled in it or blown in it with a garden duster can do much to reduce the intensity of odor. Powder can also be concentrated in certain locations where an animal that is confined will deposit urine. Powder on the floor of a chicken coupe will be very effective in reducing the odors from their droppings, the desiccant property of NonScents will also make those droppings drier.
Probably the most efficient way to use NonScents in such conditions is in such a way that it can be desorbed and used over again many times, this can be done in a number of different ways depending on the construction of the facility that contains the animals. One way this could be done is by constructing large baskets out of perforated metal that could hold hundreds and even thousands of pounds of NonScents to adsorb large quantities of odor. Good air circulation will greatly accelerate the process. Eventually the product in the perforated baskets will become saturated and it will have to be desorbed. This can be done by heating the product in a convection or vacuum oven. The oven treatment of the product for desorption is something that will have to be considered in the plans to use NonScents in large quantities. The ovens will have to be in some sort of covered building and will have to be located where the odors they give off will not cause any problems. The cooking time for desorption is as follows. Loose rock can be heated at 400°F for 48 hours.

The NonScents used does not eliminate all of the odors from the animals and people, but it certainly makes that experience of going to this event a more pleasant one for both man and beast.

Introduction and Table of Contents

<img style="float:left;
